Finally the bedroom....

Inspiration for the room colors from this old
Couture Magazine Print  -  you cannot tell
in pic but the background of this print is a
light silver/grey
is done......Sorry it took so long to get the pics posted but it has been a hell of month. So when I first found out that I was friggin prego I was in a state of shock for about 3 months I was not one of those moms were everything was awesome and I was blowing daisies out of my ass. I was in SHOCK people. I was not supposed to get pregnant at 39 and delivering a child a couple of weeks after my 40th b-day...Shit the husband and I were supposed to be partying up in a mansion with family and friends in the wine country those were the plans for our combined 40th bday bash. ..Yep life sure has a way of throwing punches to your gut in order to keep your on your toes.

I read somewhere that said you should always paint one room in your home a very cheerful color and since LDG's now bedroom was my closet {which was my happy place} I chose to paint the room bright ass golden yellow - Sounds gross but it worked and it kept me calm. Since the room was such a bitch to paint the first time around when it was came time to get the baby room ready I was going to match it to that yellow so I decided to go for the ever safe unisex jungle room. It was OK and got us through the hump.  Newborn to 12 months babies are pooping, barfing, eating blobs they really do not give a crap what their rooms look like at that point. Now that LDG is an official toddler it was time to get her into a regular size bed and change up her room to something a little bit more girl like. My daughter loves clothes/shoes/accessories like most girls do so I worked off clothing/couture/Paris theme with a little pop of color here and there.  I wanted to do something that would grow with her until her tween stage{unless I get bored first}.  The room still has a few things missing waiting on some actual clothing sketches for the walls.I am also having a tough time finding  just the right lamp. Sorry I refuse to pay anymore than 40.00 for one.  Below is what I came up with. LDG loves her new digs.

Had to get the chair - hat boxes I have had for years
The dresser is from my old preteen bedroom is now being used for GG's room a little fresh scrub and some added pink scroll and presto.
In the center one of my fav pics of GG, all the books to the left are some of my old reading material thoought it would look good with the mini bust form I found at Ross love Ross. To the left is a little Paris buts form I also found at Ross.

Her new twin bed no railings I had ordered them but never put them on the bed because she has done so well without them...Yeah! Love the comforter and check out the headboard. Pretty snazzy huh?

Above her headboard - decided to place a quote from one of fashions toughest sassiest and tough as nails woman - a woman who took no shit from anyone and did it her own way...Coco Chanel - this quote says it all!

Hello wire bust form and one of GG's favorite toys her little singing pony. She has tutu's all over the room since she started taking dance all she wants to do is hang around in tutu's.

Awesome Paris print and black/white prints of GG in her different color tutu's

Cute little fashion coat/tutu hanger for the room I got it at Ross baby. The two GG's {LDG's actual initials} painted the letters in the same color as the bedroom.

LDG's actual initials I think I will be referring to her as this from now on.

Hope you like......Peace

That is more style and class in a toddler room than anything I have come up with in my whole house--you go Momma!

What a pretty room! I love the theme and colours :)
We have started doing this kind of theme for my daughter's room, she loves pics of Paris and New York etc.
Good job with the makeover!!

You did such a great job! it looks super cute. I love the theme. Oh how I wish for a littl girl. We are in the process of combining the boys' rooms to make room for baby and since we just moved we have a fresh space to work with.
