Suburban Hell.....

anyone?   Because that is were I will in the next year and half. Yep that is right the "it" has been made and because we need and want to be closer to family the really hard ass choice has been made of staying were we are now {in a larger space}or moving to the other side of the bridge,  45 minutes away in friggin suburgatory. When the hubby and I bought our current home it was perfect. We had us, one dog and a very tiny cat. I worked all the time and so did my hubby. We partied, traveled and had awesome dinner parties kiddos were not at all part of our future.  2 years later - 2 large dogs, lost kitty ~sniff , still rockin" kick ass dinner parties add the addition of  a whole nother' human and a bunch of her crap and we are maximum capacity.  We also do not have a backyard {allot of hiking trails} but when you have a little one a backyard becomes a requirement. Time for some more space and a less just for looks lay out.   We love were we live now,  we have an beautiful pad,  7.2 minutes from the City w/o traffic {yes I timed it} while driving into the city we get to cross one of the most beautiful and photographed bridges in the world - The GG Bridge.  Did I mention that we are a mere 35 minutes from wine country?  Yep that one is gonna hurt,  I am not gonna lie.  I love, love the Napa Valley and if I had my choice I would be moving in that direction but my husbands company is on the other side and he already does a 45 minute commute everyday...He says he enjoys the quite time in the car before he gets home to the chaos but I know that once LDG starts playing sports and doing school stuff he is gonna want to be closer to home and with moving to the "other" side he would be 15 minutes from work. It has also come to a time in our life that we need to be closer to the famiglia. My dad is getting older. My brother and his family will be closer and I would love for LDG to grow up around her cousins. Something that me and my brother never had. I mean we have a shit load of cousins but they all live in Italy.  Some we are very close to and others we are so not.

Yesterday I hung out with one of my best friends at lunch {another huge plus she lives on that side with her amazing family} in one of the towns we are looking to live by and let me tell you this place was not half bad...Some cool people, great restaurants, shopping amazing and if I need a City fix I can take the train in which I think would be fun for LDG. We had not ruled out moving back in the City but if we did move back we would have to pay for LDG to go to all girls private/catholic school and we really do not know if we want to do this. Hey..... check back with me in a few years with how boy crazy ms LDG might be we might be re thinking the private all girl school thing.

I am now in the process of  researching three towns that fit the bill of what we are looking for. We have a year to save for the down payment because we will NOT dip into our savings or investments for this. I think what we will end up doing is renting our current place unless the market takes a huge jump in the next year then we will sell,  however I highly doubt will happen. I also would love to have an additional piece of property for LDG when she is older. We are at the beginning, beginning stages of looking at homes which I am researching on line. We will not be rushed because this house will be our final move until we retire our happy asses to one of the following places...Napa....One of the Caribbean Islands or Paris.

Allot going on but we are super excited for this new chapter in our lives. Let the games begin........
